What is a Seed Library?
A seed library collects and stores seeds and shares them with members of the community for free.
How do I borrow seeds?
1. Visit the Seed Library near the Non-Fiction section.
2. Choose up to 8-10 seed packets per growing season.
3. Write your seed choices and contact info in the check-out binder.
The Seed Library is divided into three categories: Vegetables, Flowers and Herbs. Seeds are then arranged alphabetically by common name within those categories.
How do I return and donate seeds?
The seed library will grow when you donate back the seeds that you plant and harvest. The Flagg Rochelle public library along with the Master Gardeners of Ogle County offer seed saving workshops throughout the year. Contact the library for more information.
