The Flagg-Rochelle Public Library District serves the town of Rochelle, Illinois and surrounding municipalities with the purpose of providing our community access to print and digital materials that educate, enlighten, and inspire. As the Rochelle area’s primary library, our mission is to help create a vibrant community that thrives on positivity, curiosity, and a willingness to embrace new perspectives as part of making our corner of the world a more open and inclusive place.

We believe a public library should play an integral part in the intellectual and social development of the citizens it serves.
The Rochelle Public Library serves more than 13,000 residents through a variety of services including:
A comprehensive collection of print books, ebooks, and digital resources
Educational and recreational programming for all ages
Civic resources such as tax forms and voter registration information

Flagg-Rochelle Public Library
Located in the heart of historic downtown Rochelle, the Flagg-Rochelle Public Library has been at its current location since its original construction in 1912. The library was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 in recognition of its architectural and cultural significance to the area.
